Our text for this sermon comes from Acts 15:22-35.
vs 22 The elders and the church sent Paul and Barnabas back to Antioch. This time they were going to send a couple more guys with them. They sent Judas and Silas. They were leading men among the brothers. They were examples of godly men. They stood out. They were just different.
vs 23 The letter goes out to three churches.
vs 24-29 The contents of the letter:
These jerks, fakers, false teachers have troubled you. They have made you anxious and worried. They are not from us. We have sent men to you who will tell you these same things.
We do not wish to lay a greater burden or weight on you. Just continue to pursue Christ.
vs 30-31 The letter is read and great rejoicing takes place.
vs 32 Judas and Silas ministered as pastors.
vs 33 Their time was temporary. When they had accomplished what they were sent to do, they were sent back from where they came.
vs 35 Paul and Barnabas remained in Antioch. They have a strong bond with Antioch. They continued preaching and teaching. They continued making disciples.

What kind of man is described here?
