Jeremiah 17:9 says, “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it?”
When you take a long, deep look inside yourself, there is a painful realization that there are still parts of you that do not conform to the image of Jesus Christ.
But there is a beautiful moment in the life of the disciple that God in his grace and mercy reaches down and decides to use us to accomplish his work anyway.
We are a mess.
We are sinners, liars, selfish, greedy, lustful, prideful, hateful and God with his Potter’s hands transforms us into a disciple. We are being transformed through the renewing of our minds. We are being given the heart and mind of Christ so that we can become the hands and feet of Christ.
God takes what was a mess and gives us a message. God uses us to be missionaries and messengers of the gospel.
What was once just a lump of clay and dust is now a beautiful vase designed to be used for God’s glory.
May you realize that you are created for the glory of God. Live your life to the glory of God.
