As the boy skipped rocks on the river, the young eagle climbed the tree. He climbed to the tallest branch and stood there with his wings spread out imagining what it must be like to soar above mountains and just flying in the wind.
The eagle that had been passing by saw the younger eagle and came down to sit on the branch of the tree. The young eagle was amazed. The wiser eagle spoke, “You are an eagle yet you still live on a farm surrounded by chickens. You are an eagle or a chicken, one or the other. You cannot be both. You must decide what you are. When you know what you are, you will know how to live.”
1 John 1:5-9
We are either living in the light or we are living in the darkness. Darkness and light cannot occupy the same space at the same time.
